CSV.2.8.100 Hunting Hours

(a) Except where otherwise expressly authorized by this ordinance, no member shall hunt small game except during the hours prescribed by this section (all dates and times given are inclusive and all times refer to Central Standard Time and should be adjusted one hour as necessary to account for Daylight Savings Time).

(b) Lawful small game hunting hours during open seasons are provided as follows:

(1) From September 1 through March 31, for all small game animals except coyote, fox, raccoon, snowshoe hare, and unprotected species one-half hour before sunrise to 20 minutes after sunset or as otherwise provided by a GLIFWC Commission Order.

(2) From April 1 through August 31, for all small game species except for wild turkeys, 24 hours per day, or as otherwise provided by a GLIFWC Commission Order.

(3) For coyote, fox, raccoon, snowshoe hare and unprotected species, 24 hours per day, or as otherwise provided by a GLIFWC Commission Order except during the middle deer season established pursuant to Section CSV.2.6.070(c) when hunting hours shall be the same for small game and deer hunting.

(4) For wild turkeys, hunting hours are:

(A) Fall Season (established in Section CSV.2.8.260(b)(1)) – one-half hour before sunrise to 20 minutes after sunset; or as otherwise provided by a GLIFWC Commission Order and

(B) Spring Season (established in Section CSV.2.8.260(b)(2)) – one-half hour before sunrise to sunset or as otherwise provided by a GLIFWC Commission Order.

(c) Lawful small game hunting hours shall be determined in accordance with the Tribal Hunting Hours Zone/Table attached to this ordinance after Subchapter CSV.2.14.
